Gautam buddha is the founder of buddhism and is also known as the light of Asia. He was defineatly born in Nepal. He was prince of kapilvastu which currently lies in Lumbini, Nepal. His real name was siddhartha Gautama. However, there is a misconception that buddha was born in india. It is difficult to state exactly where buddha was born but historians,old remains,manuscripts and Ashoka pillar(bulided by and an indian emperor in Kapilbastu lumbini,Nepal) also proves that buddha was born in nepal and it is also internationally certified that buddha was born in nepal.
